Historique
Ce château peut être considéré comme un prédécesseur du Haut-Koenigsbourg, et ce à deux titres. Sur le plan géographique d'abord : sa situation sur un éperon barré à l'entrée du vallon du Bergenbach, en surplomb d'une des routes menant au château du Haut-Koenigsbourg en fait, involontairement, l'un des gardiens de l'illustre château (G. Bischoff). Mais, surtout, l'intérêt du Reichenberg est à considérer sur le plan de l'histoire des idées architecturales. History
This castle may be considered as a predecessor of the Haut-Koenigsbourg, and this on two counts. First on the geographical plane: its situation on a barred spur at the entrance of the Bergenbach valley, overlooking one of the roads leading to the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle makes it, involuntarily, one of the guardians of the illustrious castle (G. The construction site undertaken from 1890 to 1925, on the basis of a building of the 13th century, is oriented towards an attempt at reconstruction of a medieval castle to make it a residence.
