Les bâtiments de l'école Saint-Michel-de-Picpus sont construits de 1929 à 1932. Le décor intérieur de la petite chapelle de l'école est confié à douze artistes des Ateliers d'Art Sacré, sous la direction d'Henri de Maistre. Les peintures, signées entre autres de Charles Plessard et Henri de Maistre lui-même, sont réalisées de 1933 à 1934. Les douze verrières, rythmant les douze mois de l'année et leurs grandes fêtes liturgiques, sont réalisées de 1935 à 1936 par les ateliers du maître-verrier Paul Rault, à Rennes, sur des cartons dessinés par les artistes des Ateliers, dont Maurice Denis. La chapelle a été réaménagée en 1980.

History
The buildings of the École Saint-Michel-de-Picpus are constructed from 1929 to 1932. The interior decoration of the small school chapel is entrusted to twelve artists from the Ateliers d'Art Sacré, under the direction of Henri de Maistre. The paintings, signed among others by Charles Plessard and Henri de Maistre himself, are executed from 1933 to 1934. The twelve stained-glass windows, marking the twelve months of the year and their major liturgical feasts, are created from 1935 to 1936 by the workshops of the master glass-maker Paul Rault, in Rennes, from cartoons drawn by the artists of the Ateliers, including Maurice Denis. The chapel was refurbished in 1980.
