History
The fire direction post of Riva-Bella is located at Ouistreham, near a water tower. This massive five-storey tower is well-preserved evidence of an isolated structure of a large-calibre artillery battery integrated into the defensive system of the Atlantic Wall put in place by the Todt Organisation from summer 1942 onwards. It is currently occupied by an association which has set up an Atlantic Wall museum there and reconstructed the interior atmosphere thanks to elements such as radio, telephone, rangefinding equipment, etc.
