Historique
Logis de la fin du 17e siècle. Des murs de soutènement appuient les terres qui soutiennent le logis. Un portail sommé de trois acrotères à boule, conduit dans une cour fermée à l'est par un bâtiment de commun. Une petite terrasse au nord et un vaste espace planté de bosquets et de prés au sud, forment le cadre de ce logis. De plan rectangulaire, le bâtiment est accosté de deux pavillons formant ressaut sur chaque élévation, à l'est et à l'ouest. Un pavillon à l'est et une chapelle à l'ouest augmentent le logis à ses deux extrémités. Le corps de logis central se développe sur trois travées de baies. Les lucarnes des combles sont à ailerons sculptés de cercles concentriques et frontons cintrés sommés d'acrotères en croix de Salomon ou en forme de plumet. Cette demeure correspond aux canons de l'architecture 18e classique adaptée à la petite noblesse rurale charentaise.

History
Main dwelling of the late 17th century. Retaining walls support the earth that sustains the dwelling. A portal topped with three ball acroteria leads into a courtyard closed on the east by a service building. A small terrace to the north and a vast space planted with copses and meadows to the south form the setting for this dwelling. Of rectangular plan, the building is flanked by two pavilions forming projections on each elevation, to the east and west. A pavilion to the east and a chapel to the west augment the dwelling at its two ends. The central dwelling body extends over three bays of openings. The dormers of the roof space have aileron-shaped ornaments with concentric circles and round-headed pediments topped with acroteria in the form of Solomon's cross or plume shape. This residence corresponds to the canons of 18th-century classical architecture adapted to rural Charente minor nobility.
