L'existence de la paroisse est attestée dès le 12e siècle (porte romane murée dans le mur sud de la nef). Si l'édifice fut affecté par les guerres franco-anglaises, il fut épargné par les guerres de Religion et conserve son état du 16e siècle. Dans la seconde moitié du 16e siècle, le choeur fut réédifié et une chapelle latérale élevée. Le décor peint du choeur date de cette période. Celui de la nef semble date du 17e siècle. L'accès se fait par une porte du 13e siècle inscrite dans un arc brisé en tiers point. Le clocher comporte quatre arcades en plein cintre ainsi qu'une génoise à son faîte.

History
The existence of the parish is attested from the 12th century (blocked Roman door in the south wall of the nave). If the edifice was affected by the Franco-English wars, it was spared by the Wars of Religion and preserves its state from the 16th century. In the second half of the 16th century, the choir was rebuilt and a lateral chapel erected. The painted decoration of the choir dates from this period. That of the nave appears to date from the 17th century. Access is by a door of the 13th century inscribed in a pointed arch. The bell tower comprises four round-arch arcades and a genoise at its ridge.
