History
On the site of a Gallo-Roman villa (mosaics uncovered in the abbot's lodging), construction of a Benedictine abbey: church from the 12th century, abbot's lodging from the late 13th century. Devastated several times during the Wars of Religion, with the exception of the church and the abbot's lodging, it was restored at the end of the 17th century by the Benedictines of the Congregation of Saint-Maur, who undertook the reconstruction of the convent buildings.
