Construit sur les ruines d'un ancien château, le sanctuaire de Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur a été fondé à l'initiative de l'abbé Thomas en 1932. Le carillon de 49 cloches, sorti des fonderies Paccard d'Annecy-le-Vieux (74) , date de 1939. Le beffroi qui l'abrite, seul beffroi construit en France pour un carillon, est une tour octogonale en béton armé, oeuvre de l'architecte lyonnais Louis Mortamet. Les premiers projets datent de 1941, les travaux de 1946 à 1947. Des concerts y sont régulièrement donnés.

Built on the ruins of a former castle, the sanctuary of Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur was founded on the initiative of abbé Thomas in 1932. The carillon of 49 bells, from the Paccard foundries of Annecy-le-Vieux (74), dates from 1939. The belfry which houses it, the sole belfry built in France for a carillon, is an octagonal tower of reinforced concrete, the work of the Lyon architect Louis Mortamet. The first projects date from 1941, the works from 1946 to 1947. Concerts are regularly given there.
