Historique
L'immeuble, pouvant être daté de 1750-1760, fut vendu comme bien national à la Révolution. Le corps de logis est de plan en U, prolongé d'une aile à l'arrière du retour oriental. Ses deux retours sur rue sont reliés par un mur de clôture couronné d'une balustrade interrompue par le cintre de l'entablement du portail. Cet entablement mouluré est sommé d'une archivolte dont les crossettes retournées reçoivent les pilastres plats encadrant la porte dont l'imposte est ornée d'une ferronnerie. Des pilastres corniers appareillés en bossages rythment la façade et se terminent, sous le toit, par un motif de triglyphes. L'intérieur conserve quelques cheminées et boiseries du 18e siècle. Cet hôtel s'inscrit dans la typologie des édifices de la seconde moitié du 18e siècle encore présents à Rochefort, La Rochelle ou Saintes. A Marennes, il est le seul exemple remarquable.

History
The building, which can be dated to 1750-1760, was sold as national property during the Revolution. The main dwelling has a U-shaped plan, extended by a wing at the rear of the eastern return. Its two returns on the street are linked by a boundary wall crowned by a balustrade interrupted by the arch of the portal entablature. This moulded entablature is surmounted by an archivolte whose returned crossettes receive the flat pilasters framing the door whose impost is ornamented with ironwork. Corner pilasters faced with rustication animate the façade and end, beneath the roof, with a motif of triglyphs. The interior retains a few fireplaces and wainscoting from the 18th century. This hotel fits within the typology of buildings from the second half of the 18th century still present in Rochefort, La Rochelle or Saintes. In Marennes, it is the only remarkable example.
