Historique
Les parties anciennes du château (communs) remontent au 16e siècle. Restauration par Clément Parent à la fin du 19e siècle. Sur une importante cave voûtée en plein cintre s'élève un bâtiment percé d'une porte en plein cintre et d'une fenêtre à croisillon et meneau. Il est cantonné d'une tour circulaire donnant sur les jardins autrefois à la française. Le château actuel, bordant la cour en équerre, est cantonné de deux tours carrées et prolongé au sud par la chapelle. Un porche situé entre la chapelle et les écuries permet de contourner le château. La partie ouest côté jardin est bordée d'une terrasse dominant un fond de vallon. Cette partie a été modelée ou construite par Hector de Galard à la fin du 19e siècle.

History
The old parts of the castle (service buildings) date back to the 16th century. Restoration by Clément Parent at the end of the 19th century. On an important vault with round arching rises a building pierced with a round-headed door and a window with cross and mullion. It is flanked by a circular tower opening onto gardens formerly in the French style. The present castle, bordering the courtyard at right angles, is flanked by two square towers and extended to the south by the chapel. A porch situated between the chapel and the stables allows one to go around the castle. The western part on the garden side is bordered by a terrace dominating a valley bottom. This part was modelled or built by Hector de Galard at the end of the 19th century.
