Historique
La chapelle est construite entre 1927 et 1929 par les frères Perret pour les religieuses franciscaines de l'Immaculée Conception qui tenaient l'orphelinat des Petites-Filles-Pauvres d'Arcueil. Disposant d'un budget très limité, les architectes réalisent un bâtiment simple, de plan rectangulaire, avec une structure de poteaux et poutres en béton armé et un maçonnerie en brique creuse. La nef est éclairée par les trois grandes verrières du mur ouest et les claustras des parties hautes (verrières composées des mêmes éléments de claustra déjà utilisés par les Perret au Raincy, cf notice PA00079948). La chapelle est installée à l'étage, dégageant au rez-de-chaussée une grande salle, initialement préau ouvert. Un escalier mène à la chapelle et se prolonge au niveau supérieur donnant accès à la tribune. La chapelle, qui n'a subi aucune modification, est actuellement désaffectée.

History
The chapel was built between 1927 and 1929 by the Perret brothers for the Franciscan nuns of the Immaculate Conception who ran the orphanage of the Petites-Filles-Pauvres of Arcueil. With a very limited budget, the architects realised a simple building, of rectangular plan, with a structure of posts and beams in reinforced concrete and masonry in hollow brick. The nave is lit by three large windows in the west wall and the lattice screens of the upper parts (windows composed of the same lattice elements already used by the Perrets at Raincy, cf notice PA00079948). The chapel is installed on the upper floor, clearing a large hall on the ground floor, originally an open courtyard. A staircase leads to the chapel and continues at the upper level giving access to the gallery. The chapel, which has undergone no modification, is currently disused.
