La fonderie de Val d'Osne fut construite en 1834-1835 et s'est développée sous le Second Empire grâce à sa spécialité de fonte d'art. History
The Val d'Osne foundry was built in 1834-1835 and developed under the Second Empire thanks to its specialty in art casting. It was enlarged in 1873 and 1900 and ceased operations in 1986. The remains of an original blast furnace in the hall are in place; the chisellers' workshop also dates from the creation and adjoins the first pattern store; the machining workshop, the casting hall, the black mill of 1873, as well as the pattern store of 1877 are completed by the long workers' housing estate Barbezat, named after the director under the Second Empire; some dwellings occupy the upper floor, above the cart sheds.
