Historique

History
Mining exploitation of the Neuenberg massif began around the middle of the 16th century. The building appears in a drawing dated 1585. At that time, it was the seat of mining justice, miners being subject to their own jurisdiction. It housed the court and, in the basement, two cells for delinquent miners. It was subsequently used as a presbytery and school.
