The seigneury of Mons appears at the end of the 12th century. The vestiges consist of a quadrangular tower (1290), at the corner of a rectangular courtyard. The angles of the long side are flanked by round towers (14th century). The entrance of the tower was found six metres above the ground. The current access dates from the 19th century. At the beginning of the 14th century, the addition of a courtyard corresponds to the raising of the tower, and the whole takes on a residential character. The courtyard included outbuildings (barns, hemp store, oven, vat-house). The site was first built for a watch function, evolving later towards a pleasure dwelling. These medieval vestiges are the oldest and best preserved of the Semine.
