History
Castle mentioned in 1282, but of more ancient creation. In 1392, a fire destroys the dwellings, but the main structure resists. The town walls came to join those of the castle which consisted of a tower, curtain walls and a keep. The castle was divided into two distinct parts: the first towards the entrance comprised a courtyard with stables, byres and outbuildings; the second, in the shape of a right angle, housed the count's dwellings. The castle was transformed into a prison in the 18th century.
