Au 11e siècle, des moines bénédictins de l'abbaye de Cluny viennent s'installer au Bourget. Ils édifient une première église romane, dont il reste la crypte. History
In the 11th century, Benedictine monks from the abbey of Cluny came to settle at Le Bourget. They built a first Romanesque church, of which the crypt remains. In the 13th century, the monks rebuilt the church. In the 15th century, restoration of the church and the convent buildings. In 1582, the priory was attached to the congregation of the Jesuits; in 1773, the property passed to the congregation of the Franciscans. At the end of the 19th century, the priory was purchased by an art enthusiast who began its restoration, a restoration continued by the Duchess of Choiseul who bought the priory in 1912 and created a magnificent French formal garden.
