History
The building bears witness to what a castle was like at the borders of the Dombes and Bresse between the 13th and 16th centuries. The oldest part comprises monumental fireplaces, doors with accolade arches, floors with exposed beams, defensive wall in old brick surmounted by an old wall walk. The current building consists of a large main dwelling backed against the rampart and flanked by a large square tower which appears contemporary with the rampart. The wing built in the middle of the 19th century is representative of a type of bourgeois architecture of the period.
