The church existed at the beginning of the 15th century, at which time the lords of La Palud endowed the seigneurial chapel. At the end of the Middle Ages, the territory was ravaged by conflicts and the building deteriorated. A restoration campaign was undertaken in the middle of the 18th century. The bell tower was destroyed during the Revolution. In 1861, works carried out by the architect Farfouillon and then, in 1888 by Rochet. The original Latin cross plan was increased by a square sacristy in the 19th century and by an access to the bell tower dating from the same period. The chancel of square plan presents, to the south, niches which preserve remains of the former structure. Probes revealed the presence of wall paintings. On the south wall, a winged figure and another holding a book appear partially, executed in the 13th or 14th century.
