Cette maison était le siège de la Justice des Ducs de Savoie. Celui-ci, voulant séparer sa justice de celle de l'Evêque de Belley transporta son bailliage à Saint-Rambert puis à Rossilon. Ce dernier, ruiné et dépeuplé par des incendies, est alors installé dans cet hôtel. La révolution le transforma en tribunal civil. La justice y fut rendue jusqu'en 1827. Les bâtiment devinrent alors écoles puis enfin Caisse d'Epargne.

This house was the seat of Justice of the Dukes of Savoy. The latter, wishing to separate his justice from that of the Bishop of Belley, transferred his bailiwick to Saint-Rambert then to Rossilon. The latter, ruined and depopulated by fires, was then installed in this hotel. The revolution transformed it into a civil tribunal. Justice was dispensed there until 1827.
