Historique
Le site de Méaulte constitue l'un des sites majeurs de l'histoire de la construction aéronautique française. Henry Potez (1891-1981) , natif de Méaulte y établit, en 1925, son usine d'aviation auparavant située en région parisienne. Aux usines Potez a succédé, en 1970, une filiale de la S. N. I. A. S. (Société Nationale de l'Industrie Aérospatiale) , qui demeure encore aujourd'hui l'une des principales entreprises françaises de construction aéronautique. Le domaine du Vivier a été conçu de toutes pièces par Henry Potez, l'un des pionniers de l'aviation civile et commerciale européenne dans les années 1920-1930. L'ensemble de constructions, élevées de 1927 à 1931 par l'architecte et ingénieur aéronautique Raoul Minjoz (1900-1977) , s'organise autour de la villa et comprend pavillon du jardinier, garages, salle de jeux, basse cour, etc...

History
The site of Méaulte constitutes one of the major sites in the history of French aircraft manufacturing. Henry Potez (1891-1981), a native of Méaulte, established his aviation factory there in 1925, previously located in the Paris region. Potez factories were succeeded in 1970 by a subsidiary of S.N.I.A.S. (Société Nationale de l'Industrie Aérospatiale), which remains today one of the principal French enterprises of aircraft construction.
