Edifice particulièrement représentatif des demeures seigneuriales de l'Amiénois aux 17e-18e siècles. Il a été reconstruit en briques à harpages et chaînages de pierre, à partir de 1681, sur l'emplacement d'une ancienne maison seigneuriale. Le corps central flanqué de deux ailes en retour d'équerre a été prolongé, au nord et au sud, de deux ailes plus basses au cours du 18e siècle. L'édifice présente la particularité d'avoir été construit avec des pierres extraites d'une carrière creusée sous la cour d'honneur actuelle, d'où un affaissement du sol à cet endroit, notamment au niveau des deux bâtiments de communs du 19e siècle qui encadrent la cour.

History
Building particularly representative of the seigneurial residences of the Amiénois in the 17th-18th centuries. It was rebuilt in brick with stone harpings and chainings, from 1681 onwards, on the site of a former seigneurial house. The central block flanked by two wings set at right angles was extended, to the north and south, by two lower wings during the 18th century. The building has the particular feature of having been constructed with stone extracted from a quarry dug beneath the present courtyard of honour, resulting in a settling of the ground in this place, particularly at the level of the two 19th-century service buildings which frame the courtyard.
