History
Complete example of neo-Gothic architecture in the troubadour style appreciated in the 19th century, at the request of the owner who wished to revive an aristocratic way of life. This project, executed by architect Jean Herbault, was realised from a 16th-century manor which served as the nucleus for the development of the whole. The estate was laid out according to a project combining hunting with pleasure. A large English park is associated with two game parks created to perpetuate the hunting tradition. These game parks are rare creations in the 19th century and reconnect with the tradition of Renaissance parks. A model farm completes the property, still in its original state, and testifies to the modernisation of agricultural techniques in the middle of the 19th century.
