Usine communale d'élévation d'eau et de production d'électricité construite de 1901 à 1903 sur un bras de la Somme par les établissements Daydé et Pillé pour la Compagnie Générale d'Electricité de Creil. Equipée de trois turbines américaines de 32 chevaux chacune, l'usine pompait l'eau de la nappe artésienne pendant le jour et générait de l'électricité la nuit. History
Municipal water pumping and electricity generating plant built from 1901 to 1903 on an arm of the Somme by the Daydé and Pillé establishments for the Compagnie Générale d'Electricité de Creil. Equipped with three American turbines of 32 horsepower each, the plant pumped water from the artesian water table during the day and generated electricity at night. Built in stone and brick, the plant, which remained in operation until 1968, is a modest witness to the architecture of industry of the early 20th century and the beginnings of rural electrification.
