History
In the course of the last third of the 19th century, the Saint enterprise thrived to the point of becoming a model of paternalistic capitalism. Around 1870, the Saint family undertook the construction of the castle, the park and its wood. The castle, of a style with dominant Louis XIII characteristics, is inseparable from its landscape park and garden. The domain thus constitutes a major work in the art of eclectic architecture and in that of the landscape park and garden as they were conceived at the end of the 19th century.
