History
The Benedictine abbey was founded at the end of the 11th century, in 1095, at the request of Saint-Gautier, abbot of Saint-Martin de Pontoise. The former abbey church was built at the end of the 11th and beginning of the 12th century. The abbey was devastated at the Revolution and the church, having become parochial, underwent important restoration work during the 19th century.
