Un puissant rempart, long d'environ deux kilomètres, barre un méandre de la rivière. Cet oppidum présente un véritable plan d'urbanisme permettant d'organiser différentes constructions, associées à des puits, des silos, des ateliers, des fosses, des fours et des foyers. Un des habitats gaulois les plus importants connu en Europe, témoin rarissime d'urbanisme gaulois.

History
This is a vast oppidum from the Gallic period, established on the low terrace of the valley of the Aisne, at its confluence with the Suippe. A powerful rampart, approximately two kilometres long, cuts off a meander of the river. This oppidum presents a genuine urban plan allowing the organization of different constructions, associated with wells, silos, workshops, pits, ovens and hearths. One of the most important Gallic dwellings known in Europe, a very rare witness to Gallic urbanism.
