Erigé dans le cimetière d'Oigny-en-Valois à la mémoire du général d'Empire Henri-François-Marie Charpentier (1769-1831) , qui s'illustra notamment, pendant les campagnes de Russie, d'Allemagne et de France. Né à Soissons, il se retira en 1824 en son château d'Oigny-en-Valois où il mourut. Le mausolée est un bel exemple d'architecture funéraire d'époque Restauration où sont mentionnés les principaux faits d'armes du général et qui abrite son sarcophage en marbre blanc et son buste en bas-relief.

History
Erected in the cemetery of Oigny-en-Valois in memory of General of the Empire Henri-François-Marie Charpentier (1769-1831), who distinguished himself notably during the campaigns of Russia, Germany and France. Born at Soissons, he retired in 1824 to his castle of Oigny-en-Valois where he died. The mausoleum is a fine example of funerary architecture of the Restoration period where the principal feats of arms of the general are mentioned and which houses his sarcophagus in white marble and his bust in bas-relief.
