History
The church offers the particularity, among the churches of the Marlois, of juxtaposing a brick bell tower, which recalls the fortified bell towers of Thiérache built in the middle of the 16th century, with very important and remarkable elements of the 12th-13th centuries (nave and choir). The quality of the craftsmanship and the mouldings of the medieval structures (band decorated with diamond points, south portal with sloping lintel and voussure ornamented with one rank of broken baguettes), is reinforced by the interest of the roof structure of the nave, which preserves notable elements of its original structure. The vestibule is decorated with curious inscriptions commemorating certain episodes of the Wars of Religion.
