Etablissement cistercien fondé en 1132, d'abord installé dans des bâtiments provisoires puis dans l'abbaye construite au début du 13e siècle. Les guerres de Cent ans et de Religion causent des dommages réparés respectivement au début du 16e et du 17e siècle. En 1724, un incendie détruit une grande partie des constructions : l'aile sud est rebâtie, les bâtiments reçoivent de nouvelles façades et un portail monumental est élevé. A la Révolution, l'abbaye est vendue comme bien national ; l'église et l'aile est servent de carrière de pierre. Restaurations au 19e siècle.

History
Cistercian establishment founded in 1132, first installed in provisional buildings then in the abbey built in the early 13th century. The Hundred Years War and Wars of Religion caused damage repaired respectively in the early 16th and 17th centuries. In 1724, a fire destroyed a large part of the constructions: the south wing was rebuilt, the buildings received new façades and a monumental portal was erected. At the Revolution, the abbey was sold as national property; the church and the east wing served as a stone quarry. Restorations in the 19th century.
