History
Gate from the late 12th – early 13th century, consisting of a portcullis, a machicolation and vanished doors. Since 1663, it has been connected to the Porte Saint-Jean by a machicolated wall-walk on iron corbels. This is without doubt one of two gates commissioned by Philip Augustus.
