Historique
Belle et vaste église, située sur un tertre dominant le village. Entièrement construite en briques à l'exception du soubassement extérieur en grès. L'ensemble forme un rectangle de 33 x 11m avec une tour saillante à chaque angle d'environ 5m de diamètre. La nef proprement dite comporte quatre travées dont les baies furent agrandies au 19e siècle ; jadis plafonnée, elle est à présent voûtée d'ogives réalisées en briques creuses en 1922. Très homogène malgré les remaniements des 19e et 20e siècles, l'église paraît avoir été construite d'un seul jet dans la première moitié du 17e siècle. Eglise refuge plutôt que fortification, elle comporte une salle forte et environ 40 meurtrières réparties sur tout l'édifice. Par sa taille et sa cohérence c'est une des plus remarquables églises de Thiérache.

History
Fine and vast church, situated on a mound dominating the village. Entirely constructed of brick except for the external base in sandstone. The whole forms a rectangle of 33 x 11m with a projecting tower at each angle approximately 5m in diameter. The nave proper comprises four bays whose openings were enlarged in the 19th century; formerly ceiled, it is now vaulted with rib vaults made of hollow brick in 1922. Very homogeneous despite the alterations of the 19th and 20th centuries, the church appears to have been built in one go in the first half of the 17th century. A refuge church rather than a fortification, it contains a strong room and approximately 40 loopholes distributed over the entire building. By its size and coherence it is one of the most remarkable churches of Thiérache.
