Historique
Le manoir de 1665 comportait un corps de logis rectangulaire à deux étages comportant chacun sept ouvertures côté sud et six côté nord. La façade nord est accostée de deux tourelles rondes autrefois percées d'archères. La façade sud est encadrée par deux avant-corps. L'intérieur a été entièrement transformé au début de ce siècle. Deux ailes d'inégale importance ont été accolées au 18e siècle. Elles sont également en brique avec un toit à la Mansard. Sur les tourelles, on note un décor de briques vernissées aux motifs de coeur et de croix de Saint-André. Bon exemple d'architecture nobiliaire rurale du 17e siècle en Thiérache. Cet édifice civil possède bon nombre d'affinités avec les églises fortifiées de Thiérache, tant au niveau de son architecture que dans son décor extérieur (corniches, motifs de briques surcuites). History
The manor of 1665 comprised a rectangular main dwelling with two storeys, each with seven openings on the south side and six on the north side. The north façade was flanked by two round turrets formerly pierced with arrow-slits. The south façade was framed by two avant-corps. The interior was entirely transformed in the early part of this century. Two wings of unequal importance were added in the 18th century. They are also in brick with a Mansard roof. On the turrets, there is decoration of glazed bricks with motifs of hearts and crosses of Saint-André. A fine example of 17th century rural noble architecture in Thiérache. This civil building has many affinities with the fortified churches of Thiérache, both in its architecture and in its external decoration (cornices, motifs of over-fired bricks). It is also a significant element of the brick architecture of that period.
