Historique
Construite vers 1155, la forteresse d'Ambleny, dont il ne reste plus aujourd'hui que le donjon, fut détruite à la Révolution. La tour dut encore subir d'importants dommages lors de la guerre 1914-1918. D'importants travaux furent entrepris en 1930 et arrêtés en 1939. Une nouvelle campagne de travaux a été entreprise en 1969 ayant pour but la consolidation des ruines existantes.

History
Built around 1155, the fortress of Ambleny, of which only the keep remains today, was destroyed at the Revolution. The tower had still to suffer significant damage during the 1914-1918 war. Significant works were undertaken in 1930 and stopped in 1939. A new campaign of works was undertaken in 1969 for the purpose of consolidating the existing ruins.
