Très bel édifice du début du 16e siècle, édifié par Jean de Poumereux, grand maître d'artillerie de François Ier, qui unit des caractères défensifs aux influences de la première Renaissance. Au cours des siècles, le château subit des campagnes successives d'aménagement et de restauration. Suite aux dommages causés par la guerre de 1914-1918, le château fit l'objet d'une nouvelle campagne de restauration dès 1920 sous la direction d'Abel Mahieu. Le parc a été refait à la fin du 19e siècle.

History
Very fine building of the early 16th century, built by Jean de Poumereux, Grand Master of Artillery of François I, which unites defensive characteristics with influences of the early Renaissance. Over the centuries, the castle underwent successive campaigns of renovation and restoration. Following damage caused by the 1914-1918 war, the castle underwent a new restoration campaign from 1920 under the direction of Abel Mahieu. The park was redesigned at the end of the 19th century.
