"L'église fut retouchée à plusieurs reprises et ne présente donc pas de plan régulier appréciable depuis l'extérieur. L'édifice comprend une nef centrale et deux bas-côtés épaulés de contreforts. L'ensemble est recouvert de tuiles. La façade est de facture moderne ainsi que la porche qui la précède. La nef fut plafonnée en 1757. La grande arche au-dessous du clocher est une large ogive ornée de deux moulures en zig-zag, de deux boudins et de colonnes à chapiteaux romans. Le transept sud, divisé en deux pignons, montre, sur l'un, une corniche garnie de corbeaux à masques et, sur l'autre, une fenêtre ogivale géminée. L'abside fut reconstruite à la fin du 13e siècle. De base pentagonale, elle est raccordée à la base du clocher par une travée aveugle. Les fenêtres des trois pans comportent deux lancettes surmontées d'une rose à six lobes. La voûte a été refaite au 16e siècle, en 1534, année durant laquelle eut lieu une nouvelle dédicace de l'église par Guillaume Parvi, évêque de Senlis. Le choeur plus élevé que la nef est polygone, à contreforts angulaires en retrait. Les fenêtres latérales sont en ogive simple avec quelques panneaux de vitraux du 16e siècle. La base du clocher et l'étage du beffroi furent construits vers 1140. La travée sous clocher est voûtée en berceau brisé et s'ouvre sur la nef par une arcade de même forme, moulurée de trois boudins et retombant sur deux demi-colonnes par l'intermédiaire de chapiteaux au décor de feuilles. L'extrados de l'arcade comporte un double rang de bâtons brisés, reçus sur les colonnettes. Ces différentes caractéristiques de construction et de décor laissent à penser que cette partie, la plus ancienne de l'édifice, fut l'oeuvre du même atelier qui bâti le choeur de l'église Saint-Pierre de Béthisy-Saint-Pierre, village situé au nord de Néry. Le clocher, imposant, est de section carrée. Il est placé à la croisée du transept. Il comporte un seul étage avec deux baies géminées brisées avec arcatures secondaires en plein cintre séparées par une colonne à chapiteau. Il n'y a pas d'abat-son. Un cadran d'horloge est placé sur la face ouest. Il est de section ronde, avec chiffres romains, signé "Huchez". La haute flèche octogonale de pierre est cantonnée de pinacles datant du 16e siècle. Une lucarne est placée au milieu de chacune des quatre faces, des ouvertures rectangulaires ou arrondies parsèment les huit faces. Une croix de fer surmontée d'un coq girouette couronnent l'ensemble."

"The church was retouched several times and therefore does not present an appreciable regular plan from the exterior. The building comprises a central nave and two aisles buttressed by buttresses. The whole is covered with tiles. The façade is of modern workmanship as is the porch which precedes it. The nave was ceiled in 1757. The great arch below the bell tower is a wide pointed arch decorated with two zigzag mouldings, two mouldings and columns with Romanesque capitals. The south transept, divided into two gables, shows, on one, a cornice furnished with corbels with masks and, on the other, a twin pointed arch window. The apse was rebuilt at the end of the 13th century. Of pentagonal base, it is connected to the base of the bell tower by a blind bay. The windows of the three sides feature two lancets surmounted by a rose with six lobes. The vault was remade in the 16th century, in 1534, the year in which a new dedication of the church took place by Guillaume Parvi, bishop of Senlis. The choir higher than the nave is polygonal, with angular buttresses set back. The lateral windows are simple pointed arch with some panels of 16th-century stained glass. The base of the bell tower and the belfry storey were built around 1140. The bay under the bell tower is vaulted with a broken barrel vault and opens onto the nave by an arcade of the same form, moulded with three mouldings and resting on two half-columns by means of capitals decorated with leaves. The extrados of the arcade features a double rank of broken shafts, received on small columns. These various characteristics of construction and decoration suggest that this part, the oldest of the building, was the work of the same workshop that built the choir of the church of Saint-Pierre de Béthisy-Saint-Pierre, a village situated to the north of Néry. The bell tower, imposing, is of square section. It is placed at the crossing of the transept. It comprises a single storey with two twin broken arches with secondary round arch arcatures separated by a column with a capital. There are no sound-holes. A clock face is placed on the west side. It is of round section, with Roman numerals, signed "Huchez". The high octagonal stone spire is flanked by pinnacles dating from the 16th century. A dormer is placed in the middle of each of the four sides, rectangular or rounded openings are scattered over the eight sides. An iron cross surmounted by a weathercock crown the whole."
