History
This is a neoclassical building designed, around 1842, by architect Moïse Weil. Before being converted into a hospital, the establishment housed a teaching institution founded by the Sisters of the Congregation of Saint-Joseph of Cluny. The convent chapel is terminated by a flat chevet which, however, offers a privileged place to the development of a monumental painting composed in the manner of a triptych. This work of painter Amédée Dupuy Delaroche, classical in its design and in its iconography, is contemporary with the construction of the chapel.
