Le couvent des Jacobins, élevé au 13e siècle, fut détruit à la fin du 18e siècle ; il n'en subsiste que des soubassements de murs, une série d'arcatures du cloître ; la chapelle détruite a été remplacée au début du 19e siècle par une maison d'habitation. La tour dite de Jeanne d'Arc, partie de l'enceinte du 13e siècle, faisait autrefois partie du couvent des Jacobins ; la porte du pont devant lequel Jeanne d'Arc fut faite prisonnière était toute voisine.

History
The Jacobin convent, erected in the 13th century, was destroyed at the end of the 18th century; there remain of it only foundation walls, a series of arcading of the cloister; the destroyed chapel was replaced in the early 19th century by a dwelling house. The tower known as the Tower of Joan of Arc, part of the 13th-century fortifications, formerly formed part of the Jacobin convent; the gate of the bridge in front of which Joan of Arc was taken prisoner was very nearby.
