Cette demeure est l'une des plus anciennes subsistantes à Tournus. Certains éléments, notamment la fenêtre du second étage, dateraient du 14ème siècle. Les peintures murales, situées au premier étage, sont homogènes et constituent un exemple assez rare de décors peints d'une maison de ville du 18ème siècle en Saône-et-Loire. Le décor en trompe l'oeil, de facture plutôt naïve, est formé de trois registres horizontaux, composés de vues paysagères et architecturales présentées à l'intérieur de cadres chantournés.

History
This dwelling is one of the oldest still standing in Tournus. Certain elements, notably the window of the second floor, would date from the 14th century. The wall paintings, situated on the first floor, are homogeneous and constitute a fairly rare example of painted decoration from a town house of the 18th century in Saône-et-Loire. The trompe l'oeil decoration, of rather naive execution, is formed of three horizontal registers, composed of landscape and architectural views presented within ornamental frames.
