History
Property of the Templars in the 13th century, then of the Order of Saint-Jean-de-Jérusalem from 1313 to 1790, the commandery was subsequently sold as national property and converted into a farm. The complex comprises a chapel and a main dwelling. The chapel, covered with rib vaults and divided by a floor laid in the 19th century, is decorated with 13th-century mural paintings representing saints and apostles whose design is inspired by the contemporary master mason, Villard de Honnecourt. Main dwelling of the 15th century remodelled in the 19th. A building was constructed for agricultural workers in the 19th century on the north side of the chapel.
