Le marché, construit en 1898 par l'architecte Lutz, a été demonté peu de temps après sa protection ; les pièces détachées devaient être conservées en vue d'un remontage qui n'a jamais eu lieu. Le marché se composait d'un soubassement en pierre de taille construit sur un terrain en pente, surmonté d'un niveau à décor de briques en losanges sur lequel était disposé un étage en claire-voie ; l'armature de l'ensemble et de la couverture était en fer mouluré. Le marché a été transformé en petit centre commercial et parking ; seuls le plan et le volume subsistent.

History
The market, built in 1898 by architect Lutz, was dismantled shortly after its protection; the detached pieces were to be preserved for reassembly which never took place. The market consisted of a base in ashlar stone built on sloping ground, surmounted by a level with decoration of bricks in lozenges on which was arranged an open-work storey; the framework of the whole and of the covering was in moulded iron. The market was converted into a small shopping centre and car park; only the plan and the volume remain.
