Demeure fortifiée du 15e siècle qui a connu des modifications successives. La plus grande partie du château a été reconstruite au 17e siècle (corps de logis sud et ouest, tours nord-est et sud-est). Petits aménagements au 18e siècle (boiseries...). L'ensemble fut très remanié à partir de 1830 : construction de la chapelle, de la tour sud-ouest, du mur crénelé sur l'aile ouest, exhaussement des combles, aménagements intérieurs (salle à manger et bibliothèque). Le château, de plan en U, est complété par d'importants communs ainsi que par un parc avec glacière.

History
Fortified dwelling of the 15th century which underwent successive modifications. The greater part of the castle was rebuilt in the 17th century (south and west corps de bâtiment, north-east and south-east towers). Small alterations in the 18th century (timber-work...). The ensemble was greatly modified from 1830 onwards: construction of the chapel, of the south-west tower, of the crenellated wall on the west wing, raising of the roof spaces, internal alterations (dining room and library). The castle, of U-shaped plan, is completed by important outbuildings as well as by a park with ice house.
