La vieille halle de Nolay, située près de l'église, est un grand bâtiment rectangulaire, entièrement en bois, dont le comble en forme de pavillon est couvert en "laves" (délits minces de pierre calcaire employés couramment autrefois en Bourgogne). Elle porte la date 1388 gravée sur un entrait. Elle a été acquise par l'Etat le 6 août 1936 et affectée aux monuments historiques par arrêté du 5 mars 1937.

History
The old market hall of Nolay, situated near the church, is a large rectangular building, entirely of wood, whose roof space in the form of a pavilion is covered in "laves" (thin slabs of limestone stone commonly employed formerly in Burgundy). It bears the date 1388 engraved on a tie-beam. It was acquired by the State on 6 August 1936 and allocated to historic monuments by order of 5 March 1937.
