L'établissement a été créé au début du 12e siècle par Hugues II, duc de Bourgogne, pour les habitants des villages alentours et les pauvres, en particulier durant les épidémies. History
The establishment was created in the early 12th century by Hughes II, Duke of Burgundy, for the inhabitants of the surrounding villages and the poor, particularly during epidemics. The hospital is first attached to the abbey of Sainte-Marguerite de Bouilland and then, in 1760, to the Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune.
