A l'emplacement d'une maison forte datant peut-être du 13e siècle, construction d'un château à la fin du 14e et au début du 15e siècle. Après un incendie pendant la deuxième moitié du 16e siècle, reconstruction du château au 17e siècle : première campagne de reconstitution avant 1647, puis dans la seconde moitié du 17e siècle. Un plafond peint a été découvert en 1991 lors de travaux de restauration intérieure (il était caché par un décor du 18e siècle dont ne subsiste qu'un manteau de cheminée à décor de stuc). Le décor du milieu du 17e siècle est réparti sur l'embrasure des deux baies (bouquets, vases) , sur les murs (faux lambris, allégories, frises) et sur les solives du plafond (cartouches, rinceaux, personnages).

History
On the site of a fortified house dating perhaps from the 13th century, construction of a château at the end of the 14th and beginning of the 15th century. After a fire during the second half of the 16th century, reconstruction of the château in the 17th century: first campaign of reconstitution before 1647, then in the second half of the 17th century. A painted ceiling was discovered in 1991 during interior restoration work (it was hidden by a 18th-century decoration of which only a fireplace mantel with stucco decoration remains). The decoration of the mid-17th century is distributed over the embrasure of the two openings (bouquets, vases), on the walls (false wainscoting, allegories, friezes) and on the ceiling joists (cartouches, rinceaux, figures).
