Maison basse bâtie à l'écart du monastère conformément aux statuts de la Grande Chartreuse. Bâtiments élevés au 12e siècle autour de l'église, puis affermés du 17e siècle jusqu'à nos jours. La maison basse est le siège d'activités temporelles : culture et élevage, assurées par des frères convers. Autour de l'église, se répartissent trois bâtiments : un dortoir pour les convers, une hôtellerie et une grange. Le site est alimenté par une source.

History
Charterhouse of Lugny founded in 1172. Church consecrated in 1203, used for worship until 1790, then transformed into a barn. Low house built apart from the monastery in accordance with the statutes of the Grande Chartreuse. Buildings erected in the 12th century around the church, then rented out from the 17th century to the present day. The low house is the seat of temporal activities: cultivation and livestock, ensured by lay brothers. Around the church, three buildings are distributed: a dormitory for the lay brothers, a guesthouse and a barn. The site is supplied by a spring.
