Premier hôtel bâti vers 1670. En 1740, le trésorier des Etats de Bourgogne, Marc-Antoine Chartraire de Montigny l'achète et le met au goût du jour (sculpteur Claude Saint-Père). Son fils achète l'hôtel voisin en 1783 et le fait rebâtir par Charles Saint-Père (façade sur rue de 1787). Hôtels séparés en 1792, puis réunis et transformés au 19e siècle pour y installer l'école privée Saint-François. Acquis par l'Etat en 1971, actuellement siège de la direction régionale des affaires culturelles de Bourgogne.

History
First hotel built around 1670. In 1740, the treasurer of the States of Burgundy, Marc-Antoine Chartraire de Montigny purchases it and brings it up to date (sculptor Claude Saint-Père). His son purchases the neighbouring hotel in 1783 and has it rebuilt by Charles Saint-Père (façade on the street of 1787).
