Historique
L'Hôtel-Dieu a été fondé au début du 13e siècle. La grande salle des malades a été détruite en 1823 et remplacée par l'hôpital actuel. Les bâtiments anciens subsistant datent des 17e et 18e siècles. History
The Hôtel-Dieu was founded in the early 13th century. The great ward for the sick was destroyed in 1823 and replaced by the present hospital. The surviving old buildings date from the 17th and 18th centuries. The community of Augustinian sisters was established in 1643 (passage between 1644 and 1648 of the Blessed Catherine de Longpré, restorer of the Hôtel-Dieu of Quebec), which led to the construction of the sisters' dwelling and the refurbishment of the 13th-century chapel by Monseigneur de Nesmond between 1696 and 1702. The infirmary and outbuildings were constructed by Monseigneur de Rochechouart in 1768. The chapel was remodelled in the 19th century. The great ward for the sick was rebuilt in the 19th century (present hospital).
