En 1778, à l'initiative de Charles-François Marie, seigneur de Percy, l'évêque de Bayeux créé la paroisse de Saint-Charles-de-Percy à partir du démembrement d'un quart de la paroisse de Montchamp. Le seigneur obtient du roi l'autorisation de bâtir église et cimetière, réalisés près de son château. L'église est élevée en 1778, puis complétée par une sacristie qui a conservé ses boiseries. De plan en croix latine, l'édifice est surmonté d'une tour clocher coiffée d'une toiture à l'impériale. Les baies sont rectangulaires. Au 19e siècle, des contreforts sont ajoutés à l'église. A l'intérieur, le transept et le chur s'ornent d'un décor Rocaille.

History
In 1778, at the initiative of Charles-François Marie, lord of Percy, the bishop of Bayeux created the parish of Saint-Charles-de-Percy from the division of a quarter of the parish of Montchamp. The lord obtained from the king the authorisation to build church and cemetery, realised near his castle. The church was erected in 1778, then completed by a sacristy which has retained its woodwork. Of Latin cross plan, the building is topped by a bell tower crowned with a roof with an imperial finish. The openings are rectangular. In the 19th century, buttresses were added to the church. Inside, the transept and choir are decorated with Rocaille ornamentation.
