Modeste édifice du 17e siècle, l'église de Louvagny présente pour principal intérêt d'être flanquée, au nord, de la chapelle seigneuriale de la famille de Beaurepaire. Ce petit bâtiment, de plan rectangulaire, terminé par une abside polygonale à trois pans, construit en moellons de calcaire assisés pourvus d'un enduit piqueté et couvert d'un toit à deux versants et à croupes, ouvre sur le choeur de l'église par une claire-voie. La chapelle comporte un lambris de couvrement orné d'un exceptionnel décor peint figurant les instruments de la Passion du Christ présentés par des anges. Les lambris d'appui du mur nord et la claire-voie sont ornés de panneaux peints représentant les évangélistes et divers saints. Ce décor semble avoir été réalisé entre 1651, date à laquelle François de Beaurepaire reçut l'autorisation de construire une chapelle, et 1657, année du mariage d'Henri de Beaurepaire et d'Anne de Piedoue, dont les armoiries figurent sur le lambris de couvrement.

History
Modest building of the 17th century, the church of Louvagny presents as its principal interest being flanked, to the north, by the seigneurial chapel of the family of Beaurepaire. This small building, of rectangular plan, terminated by a polygonal apse of three sides, built of ashlar rubble stone of limestone provided with render and covered with a roof with two slopes and hips, opens onto the choir of the church by a screen. The chapel comprises a ceiling panelling decorated with an exceptional painted decoration representing the instruments of the Passion of Christ presented by angels. The wainscotting of the support of the north wall and the screen are decorated with painted panels representing the evangelists and various saints. This decoration appears to have been executed between 1651, the date on which François de Beaurepaire received permission to build a chapel, and 1657, the year of the marriage of Henri de Beaurepaire and Anne de Piedoue, whose arms appear on the ceiling panelling.
