Abbaye cistercienne fondée en 1177, dépendant de Savigny dont elle adoptait le plan classique. L'église abbatiale fut consacrée en 1246. Au début du 17e siècle, l'abbaye renaît sous Dom Louis Quinet qui la réforme. En 1791, elle est vendue comme bien national et progressivement rasée. Deux éléments en subsistent aujourd'hui : le bâtiment des hôtes (13e siècle) et la porterie (18e siècle). L'ensemble du site est encore compris dans l'enclos abbatial.

History
Cistercian abbey founded in 1177, dependent on Savigny whose classical plan it adopted. The abbey church was consecrated in 1246. At the beginning of the 17th century, the abbey was reborn under Dom Louis Quinet who reformed it. In 1791, it was sold as national property and progressively demolished. Two elements survive today: the guests' building (13th century) and the gate lodge (18th century). The entire site is still contained within the abbey enclosure.
