Description
Chapelle de forme rectangulaire et d’architecture gothique du XIIIe siècle avec un chevet plat percé d’une grande baie en arc brisé, qui est située dans un espace naturel. Le tympan du portail est orné d’une sculpture en bas-relief représentant un personnage assis sur un trône et coiffé d’une mitre. Il s’agirait de Saint Samson, considéré comme l’un des sept saints fondateurs de l’ Église de Bretagne. La Chapelle dépendait de l’abbaye cistercienne Notre Dame située à Aunay-sur-Odon (aujourd'hui commune Les Monts d'Aunay). Description
Chapel of rectangular form and Gothic architecture from the 13th century with a flat chevet pierced by a large pointed arch opening, situated in a natural setting. The tympanum of the portal is adorned with a bas-relief sculpture representing a figure seated on a throne and wearing a mitre. This is believed to be Saint Samson, considered one of the seven saints who founded the Church of Brittany. The Chapel was a dependency of the Cistercian Abbey Notre Dame located at Aunay-sur-Odon (today the commune of Les Monts d'Aunay).
